Super Eagles’ speed demon, Ahmed Musa has said he is honoured to be nominated by the world football governing body, FIFA as one of the best 18 goals scored at the just concluded World Cup in Russia, AOIFootball.com reports.

The former Kano Pillars’ attacker, who raced past two markers before rounding off the Iceland goalkeeper to score Nigeria’s second goal in their 2-0 victory, further called on football-loving fans and all Nigerians to vote and support their own.

“It’s an honour to be nominated for the goal of the tournament. One of my best football memories so far! Go on to FIFA.com and cast your vote before the 23rd of July. Your love and support is always appreciated #NaijaAllTheaway,” Musa posted.

Musa finished as Nigeria’s top scorer at the just concluded global showpiece in Russia with two goals, whilst his four goal haul in two world cup tournaments also puts him as the country’s top goal scorer in a FIFA world cup history.
