Nigerian striker, Blessing Chibuike Eleke has expressed delight after scoring on his debut for Swiss club FC Lucerne in their 4-2 thumping of FC Lugano which had another Nigerian Stanley Amuzie on their books, AOIFootball.com reports.

The 22-year- old attacker recently joined the club from Israeli side SC Ashdod and was named among the substitute for the clash.

Chibuike was introduced four minutes after the hour mark for Shkelaqim Damhasag and but picked up a yellow card four minutes later for a rash challenge on an opposing player.

He, however, redeemed himself a few minutes later to put the icing on the cake for his team, scoring the fourth goal, thus bringing the final score to 4-2.

An excited Chibuike took to the social media afterwards to thank both the coaches and his teammates for the goal.

“Oh Almighty God I thank you for the victory of yesterday’s game and for my goal and thanks to my teammates and to the coaches and to the great fans. First game, first goal and first 3 points. I’m so grateful Lord. God is the greatest,” Blessing said.
