Nigerian internationals John Ogu and Anthony Nwakeame were both on target for Hapoel Be’er Sheva as they fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Cyprus side Apoel Nicosia in the Europa League, AOIFootball.com reports.

Nuno Morais’s thirteenth-minute penalty set the away side in front before Dellatore scored an absolute beauty of a goal just before the hour mark to put Nicosia 2-0 up.

With defeat staring in the face of the Israeli side, the Nigerian duo combined to half the deficit as Ogu fired in three minutes to halftime to hand Be’er Sheva a lifeline.

The second half was more promising for the home side as they came all out in search of an equalizer.

However, with 20 minutes left to play, Nwakeame equalized for the home side after being set up by Ben Biton as both sides shared the spoils heading into the second half.

Both teams will clash in the return leg next Thursday in Cyprus with a place in next season’s group stages up for grabs.
