New Taifa Stars of Tanzania Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke is hopeful his team will bounce back to reckoning in Group L of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers when they take on the Cranes of Uganda on Match Day 2, AOIFootball.com reports.
Speaking to AOIFootball.com from his base in Dar es Salaam, the former FC Barcelona winger said that work had already begun and his wards are set to give a good account of themselves when they file out against the Cranes.
“We can’t just say we want to go and win in Kampala; yes, we want to win but we must get ready to play a very good side. We will give a good account of ourselves,” he said.
Uganda top Group L with 3 points after recording a 1-0 win against Cape Verde on Match Day 1 of the qualifiers.
The Taifa Stars have a point following their 1-1 draw against Lesotho. Only two teams will qualify from the group.
