John Ogu against England

Super Eagles’ midfielder, John
Ugochukwu Ogu has said that the team will miss Captain Mikel Obi on Saturday when they take on Seychelles on Saturday in an AFCON 2019 qualifier, AOIFootball.com reports.

The Be’er Sheva midfielder, who has been in impressive form this season, scoring three goals already, said the team will do their best to fill the void and come all out to secure the maximum three points at stake.

“Of course it’s always a huge blow without the service of our captain, but I strongly believe we have players who can stand in for him and deliver for the team.

“This game is a must-win match for us because we lost to South Africa at home in our first game, so we will do ourselves a whole lot of good if we can win this one and boost our chances of qualifying for the Nations Cup,” Ogu told Busy Buddies.

The Super Eagles will square up against Seychelles at their10,000–capacity Stade Linite in a Group E, Match Day 2 encounter on Saturday.

Kickoff is 4.30pm local time and 1.30pm Nigerian time.
