*Says he meant no disrespect

Libya national team coach, Adel Amrouche has apologised to Nigerians after his post-match comments where he called the Super Eagles a weak and juju team, AOIFootball.com reports.

Amrouche had said on Saturday during a post-match press conference that even if both legs of the qualifiers are played in Nigeria, he would triumph because “they believe in Juju (voodoo) and we believe in God.”

“I was just joking and didn’t mean to disrespect Nigeria in any way. I am very sorry for what I said. I respect Nigeria a lot and have many Nigerian friends, whom I hold in the highest regard.

“I want to play our next match in a good atmosphere, so it is important that I make things right, so the fans don’t have any bad feelings,” Amrouche told journalist Osas Obayiuwana.

Libya are unbeaten after two round of matches and next face Nigeria on the 10th of October before the return leg four days later at home.
