Super Eagles’ skipper Mikel John Obi has taken time out to shower praises on the team following their emphatic 4-0 victory over Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Saturday evening, Aoifootball.com reports.
The Tianjin Teda midfielder, who is yet to feature in any of Nigeria’s AFCON 2019 qualification matches, also took time to praise Odion Ighalo on scoring his first hat-trick for the national team.
“Congratulations to the team, amazing game, good team spirit and also congratulations to Ighalo on your hat-trick #upsupereagles,” Mikel posted.
The former Chelsea midfielder is however expected to return for Nigeria’s match day five fixture against South Africa next month.
