The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Monday evening arrived at the Tunisian city of Sfax ahead of Tuesday’s AFCON 2019 qualifiers against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya, AOIFootball.com reports.
22 players alongside the team’s backroom staff arrived at about half-past five Nigerian time with the team quickly heading to training to have a feel of the stadium before the clash.
“We have arrived safely in Sfax, Tunisia ahead of tomorrow’s crucial 2019 AFCON clash. We will be having our official training from 7 pm. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” the Eagles’ twitter handle read.
Nigeria is gunning for their third victory at a stretch when they face Libya in their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations reverse fixture.
The first leg ended on a sour note for the Mediterranean Knights as they were subdued 4-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium – with Odion Ighalo netting a hat-trick.
