Super Eagles’ forward Alex Iwobi continued his impressive form under new boss Unai Emery, producing a master class performance in the Gunners’ 3-1 come back win over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night, AOIFootball.com reports.
The away side drew first blood when Chilwell burst up the left flank, taking the ball past Bellerin with a brilliant first touch and then finishing with the help of a deflection off the Spaniard, with Ndidi providing the assist.
But the goal belatedly sparked Arsenal into life and they levelled before the break when sensational playmaker, Mesut Ozil played out to Bellerin on the right and then coolly finished the return pass into the box with a side-footed shot across goal and into the far corner.
Leicester’s only opportunity after the interval came in the 57th minute when Wilfred Ndidi beat Leno to a corner but headed against the bar from 10 yards out.
Pierre Aubameyang was introduced a few minutes later and soon put Arsenal ahead when he finished from close range after Bellerin played across the face of goal from Ozil’s perfectly-weighted pass.
Ozil was involved again in Arsenal’s slick third goal, dummying for Alexandre Lacazette and then chipping a return pass across goal for Aubameyang to finish as the Gunners made it 10 wins in their last 10 matches.
Iwobi who was on for the entire match duration had a game rating of 7.4, completing 80% of his passes, making 2 key passes, completing 75% of his dribbles and 100% of his tackles.
He also won 7 of his 16 duels contested whilst also making 2 clearances.
