Big Simy was on target again for FC Crotone

Super Eagles’ forward, Simy Nwankwo came off the bench to score his second goal of the season for Serie B side Crotone in their 1-1 draw at home to Salernitana, AOIFootball.com reports.

Nwankwo, who has been striving for a starter’s shirt this season, began from the bench for the seventh time this season, with both sides failing to create any meaningful opening with the first half ending goalless.

However, the away side took the lead five minutes from the restart when Riccardo Bocalon reacted quickest to put them one goal up.

Simy was called into action afterwards to replace Adrian Stolan in the process.

The Nigerian did, however, equalize for Crotone five minutes from time after finishing off a Bruno Martella pass.

The draw away leaves Crotone 11th on the log with 11 points after their opening 9 rounds of fixtures.
