Super Eagles’ midfielder, John Ogu has hailed fans of Israeli League side, Hapoel Be’er Sheva after standing behind the team in their comeback 2-1 against Hapoel Tel Aviv at the weekend, AOIFootball.com reports.
After an uneventful first half which ended goalless, the away side drew first blood when Loai Taha put through his own goal to give Tel Aviv a 1-0 lead before a brace from Ben Sahar ensured Be’er Sheva recorded their third league win of the season.
“Great to comeback and win after going behind. Thank you to our fans for the support. Our city, our streets, our rules,” Ogu posted afterwards.
The results moves Be’er Sheva to the top half of the table for the first time this season, as they now sit 5th on the log with 13 points from 9 matches.
