Ahead of Tuesday’s international friendly against the Cranes of Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will hold its training session later on Monday evening at the main pitch with 21 of the 23 players expected to take to the field, AOIFootball.com reports.

Injury and withdrawal to the duo of Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo mean Gernot Rohr will have 21 players to train with later on Monday evening.

Having lost to Uganda in 2015, Rohr will be aiming to level pride and end the year on a high following Nigeria’s qualification to AFCON next year at the weekend.

AOIFootball.com can confirm authoritatively that the Asaba fans are gearing up for the match, with fans purchasing their tickets in numbers outside the Stadium on Monday afternoon.

One of the fans who spoke to AOIFootball.com stated that he was happy the Eagles are in town and will come out with his girlfriend to ensure they cheer Nigeria to victory.
