Super Eagles’ defender, Kenneth Omeruo has declared himself battle ready for CD Leganes’ league clash against Deportivo Alaves on Friday night, insisting his side will go for all three points, AOIFootball.com reports.
Omeruo, who was excused from Nigeria’s Tuesday friendly against Uganda, trained with the rest of the squad ahead of the match as he hopes to make his fifth league start of the campaign.
“It’s going to be a tough match, but we are mentally and physically ready for them. They are doing well on the table but we believe our recent impressive form can give us the edge over them.
“The international season is over and the focus has to be club football, so I’m very much ready to always play if given the opportunity,” Omeruo disclosed.
Mauricio Pellegrino could hand the Nigerian another chance to lead the defence with Omeruo leading the line perfectly since making his debut against Rayo Vallecano last month with the club suffering just one defeat in the process.
