Nigerian international, Aminu Umar scored his second league goal of the season for strugglers Caykur Rizespor in their 1-1 draw at home to Ankaragucu, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 2016 Olympic bronze medalist started his 12th league match since joining on loan from Osmanlispor but it was the away side who took the first half initiative when Mustapha El Kabir scored to put Ankaragucu one goal up.
Umar did, however, leveled for his side six minutes after the hour mark when he delightfully exchanged passes with Fernando Boldrin before lobbing the ball above the goalkeeper.
Rizespor were then presented with a golden chance to take the lead 10 minutes from time via the penalty spot but Fernando Boldrin stepped up and saw his effort saved, much to the frustration of the home fans.
Umar played for the entire match duration and had a game rating of 7.6, completing 78% of his passes, winning 5 duels and completing 87% of his dribbles.
The result deepens Rizespor’s position on the table as they remain bottom with 10 points from their opening 14 league matches, three points off the relegation zone.
