Lobi Stars Coach, Solomon Ogbeide is elated his team overcame Cameroon’s UMS de Loum 2-0 in Enugu, positing that the team can only get better in subsequent matches, AOIFootball.com reports.
Speaking after his side progressed to the first round of the CAF Champions League qualifying round, Ogbeide admitted that they have to go back and work hard on their finishing after missing a plethora of chances in Enugu.
“I feel delighted, of course; every manager will be happy to win a match of such importance so I’m happy. It is not yet done, we still have a lot of work to do before our next round match.
“Goal scoring problem is a global problem, it is not a peculiar issue with Lobi alone but every day we go back and we will continue to work hard on scoring. Good practice makes good perfection so hopefully, we will begin to take our chances. Mind you, football is not basketball ball so you should not expect plenty of goals,” Ogbeide said.
He further thanked the Enugu fans for supporting the team whilst also praying for success for Rangers on the continent.
