Agu had a superb game against Benfica but was unlucky as his side lost 1-0 away from home
Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel Agu suffered his second loss of the season with Vitoria de Setubal at home to visiting Benfica late on Saturday night, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 25-year-old started his seventh successive league outing, dominating the midfield in the opening minutes but was however powerless to Jonas’ 17th-minute strike that gave Benfica the lead and all three points.
Agu played the entire 90 minutes and had a good game rating of 6.9, completing 79% of his passes, winning 5 duels and making 3 clearances. He also completed 100% of his dribbles and won all three tackles.
The loss drops Setubal to 8th on the log with 17 points from their opening 12 league matches.
