Super Eagles’ forward, Henry Onyekuru believes Galatasaray can overcome Benfica over both legs after they were drawn in the Round of 32 of the Europa League, AOIFootball.com reports.
Galatasaray had dropped from the Champions League after they finished third in their group and the Eagles’ forward had said last week that they must now take the Europa League more serious after their not too convincing performance in the elite division.
Speaking to AOIFootball.com exclusively shortly after the draw, Onyekuru insisted his side have a fair chance despite going up against an experienced Benfica.
“Not a bad one of course; Benfica is a good team and also they have experienced players, so it’s going to be a good match against them,” Onyekuru said.
Benfica will host the first leg on February 14 before Galatasaray host the second leg seven days later.
The winner will progress to the Round of 16 of the competition.
