It was yet another impressive week for Nigerian players plying their trades abroad as Mikel Agu scored his first goal of the season, whilst the duo of Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu continued to fly the country’s flag high in their respective leagues.

ENGLAND

Leon Balogun: He was on for the entire 90 minutes, playing a huge part in Chelsea’s second goal. They were defeated 2-1 at home.

 

Isaac Success: He came off the bench after 77 minutes as Watford endured a nervy finish to beat Cardiff City 3-2 at the Vicarage Road.

 

Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Ihenacho: Ndidi was on for the entire match duration whilst Iheanacho came off the bench in the second half but they both could not propel Leicester to victory in their 1-0 loss away at Crystal Palace.

 

Alex Iwobi: The Nigerian started in Arsenal’s 3-2 loss to Southampton and was replaced by Mesut Ozil. The Gunners saw their 22-game unbeaten run come to an end.

 

Semi Ajayi: He was on for the entire match duration of Rotherham United 1-1 draw at home to Reading.

 

AUSTRIA

Emeka Eze: He was on for 81minutes before been replaced by Philipp Hosiner in Strum Graz 3-0 win over Flyeralarm Admira.

 

BELGIUM

 

Victor Osimhen: He scored his eighth league goal of the season, opening the scoring for Sporting Charleroi as they defeated KAA Gent 2-0. With the duo of Anderson Esiti and Taiwo Awoniyi also featuring for Gent.

 

Uche Agbo: He was rooted to the bench for the entire match duration of Standard Liege’s 4-1 win over Zulte Waregem.

 

Imoh Ezekiel and Abdul Ajagun: Both Nigerians started from the bench for KV Kortrijk in their goalless draw at home to Club Brugge with Ezekiel entering the match in the second half whilst Ajagun remained rooted to the bench.

CROATIA

Ezekiel Henty and Goodness Ajayi: Henty scored his 4th league goal of the season netting the third in NK Osijek 6-0 win over Inter Zapresic who feature Goodness Ajayi for 45 minutes.

 

Iyayi Believe, Godfrey Oboabona and Musa Muhammed: All three Nigerians wherein action but it was Believe who grabbed the headline as he scored a fantastic free kick to rescue a point for HNK Gorica in their 2-2- draw away at Lokomotiv Zagreb.

DENMARK

Paul Onuachu and Rilwan Hassan: Both players were on target for FC Midtjylland as they defeated AC Horsens 3-1 away from home.

 

Ogude Emmanuel Ifeanyi: He scored his third goal of the season to help Vendsyssel FF to a shock 3-2 win away at Brondby IF

 

 

 

GERMANY

Anthony Ujah: He came off the bench in the second half but could not prevent Mainz 05 from losing as they lost 4-1 to RB Leipzig.

 

Jamilu Collins and Christopher Antwi-Adjei: Both players where in action for Paderborn as they defeated Dynamo Dresden 3-0 to move to the top half of the table.

 

 

 

ITALY

William Troost-Ekong: He was on for the entire match duration but was helpless as Udinese narrowly lost to Inter Milan by a lone goal

 

Ola Aina: The wing back was on for 85 minutes before been replaced in Torino 1-0 loss to Juventus in the Turin derby.

 

Joel Obi: He was on from start to finish, helping Chievo Verona earn a point in their goalless draw away at SPAL.

ISRAEL

John Ogu: He was on for the entire match duration as Hapoel Be’er Sheva recovered from a goal down to beat Ironi Kiryat Shmona 2-1.

PORTUGAL

Mikel Agu: He scored his first goal of the season for Vitoria Setubal grabbing the consolation in their 3-1 loss away at Portimonense.

Chidozie Awaziem, Kelechi Nwakali and Musa Yahaya: Awaziem featured for Porto B for the first time this season playing all 90 minutes in their 1-0 win away at Pacos de Ferreira who had Junior Pius and Sadiq Fatia also feature in the match.

SAUDI ARABIA

Ahmed Musa: The Eagles stand in captain bagged his fourth assist of the season to help Al-Nassr to a comprehensive 4-0 win over Al-Raed.

 

SWITZERLAND

Blessing Chibuike Eleke: The 22-year-old fired blanks in FC Luzern 2-1 win over FC St. Gallen.

 

Stephen Odey: The former MFM striker also fired blanks for FC Zurich in their goalless draw at home to FC Lugano.

SPAIN

Kenneth Omeruo: The Eagles’ defender featured for 90 minutes, helping Leganes maintain their unbeaten run as they drew goalless away at Celta Vigo.

 

Samuel Chukwueze: The young forward was on for 86 minutes before being replaced by Javi Fuego in Villarreal 2-2 away to Huesca.

Francis Uzoho: He was on for the entire match duration helping Elche to their first win in 7 games as they defeated Rayo Majadahonda 3-1 away from home.

 

Ramon Azeez: The former flying Eagles star was in action for the entire match duration of CD Lugo 1-1draw away at Almeria.

 

TURKEY

Aminu Umar: He was on for the entire match duration of Caykur Rizespor 1-1 draw at home to Alanyaspor.

 

Henry Onyekuru: He featured for the entire 90 minutes but could not add to his 4 league goals in Galatasaray 1-1 draw away at Istanbul Basaksehir.

 

Ogenyi Onazi and Anthony Nwakaeme:  Both players where on song over the weekend with Onazi providing the assist for Nwakaeme to score Trabzonspor second goal in their 2-2 draw away at Besiktas.
