Super Eagles’ forward, Anthony Nwakaeme has hailed Trabzonspor after they maintained their unbeaten streak to draw 2-2 against Besiktas, positing that they were unlucky not to get all three points in the match, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 29-year-old scored a fantastic goal of the season contender when he expertly curled the ball home from outside the area to put his side 2-0 up before they were pegged back late on in the match as both teams had to settle for a share of the points.
He, however, praised the traveling fans afterward for their diehard support to the team.
“Good performance from the whole team, too bad we didn’t get all three points. And thanks to our traveling fans for their support. It was amazing. #God is Great #TN9,” Nwakaeme posted after the clash.
The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward has now scored three league goals this season and will definitely look to push for more to stand a chance of earning a recall to the national team ahead of next year’s AFCON.
