Super Eagles’ and Brighton & Hove Albion defender, Leon Balogun has hailed his side for ending the year in perfect fashion after they defeated Everton 1-0 at home, thanks to a Jürgen Locadia lone strike, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 30-year-old sat on the bench for the entire match duration but still praised the effort of his teammates following the win, whilst he also posited that it has been an amazing first six months for him in England.
“Great way to finish the year at home with the three points. And what a massive result this is! Thanks for your amazing support so far and for making my first 6 months @OfficialBHAFC so special. I’ll see you in 2019 – be goo. -Leon,” Balogun posted.
Since joining the Seagulls in the summer from German side Mainz 05, Balogun has featured in 8 Premier League games, starting 5 and scoring once to help the club to 13th position with 25 points from 20 games.
