Super Eagles’ and Al-Nassr of Saudi forward, Ahmed Musa has been thrown into mourning after announcing the death of his mother on Thursday, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Eagles’ stand-in captain, who is currently recuperating from injury posted on Wednesday evening about his mum’s quick recovery from the hospital.
“I am sure being tucked in bed is not the best thing you know to do. All your children are waiting for you to get out of bed and say ‘I am back in action’. Get well soon Sweet Mum!,” Musa had said.
But less than 24 hours later, the former Leicester City forward confirmed the death of his mother via his twitter handle.
“What a sad day of my life; just lost my mum,” a tearful Musa posted.
Sarah Moses passed on at the age of 61 after singlehandedly raising Ahmed Musa following his father’s death some 21 years back.
