Super Eagles’ Victor Osimhen scored his first goal of the year to help RC Sporting Charleroi come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Waasland Beveren on match day 23 of the Jupiler League, AOIFootball.com reports.

The 20-year-old started his 15th league clash of the season for the host but it was the visitors who raced into a two-goal lead half way into the first half.

Nana Opoku Ampomah had put Beveren up after 15 minutes before the Ghanaian then set up Florian Vanzo six minutes later to double the visitor’s lead.

Massimo Bruno then halved the deficit on the 24th minute before Osimhen thought he had brought his side level just before the half time whistle when he scored from an almost impossible angle before the goal was canceled by the VAR.

However, the Nigerian was not to be denied his 9th league goal of the campaign when he headed home a Nurio free-kick to equalise for Charleroi as both teams settled for a 2-2 draw.

Charleroi are now 7th on the log with 34 points from 23 games.
