Super Eagles’ and Galatasaray of Turkey forward, Henry Onyekuru has said he doesn’t feel threatened by the arrival of new signing and league top goal scorer, Mbaye Diagne to Galatasaray, positing that he will only help the team challenge more at all fronts, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 20-year-old, who has been playing predominantly on the wings this season, believes the team needs depth and the arrival of Diagne and Mitroglou will further add quality upfront for the team.
“Their arrivals will help the team and working hard is just a thing I should do always, not because we have new players; there is no issue there for me.
“The team needed quality additions and depth and bringing in a player that has scored plenty of goals in the league is a huge statement and that will further boost our attack,” Onyekuru said.
The Everton loanee remains the club leading scorer in the league this season with 9 goals and will now have a huge burden lifted off his shoulders with the arrival of Diagne who has scored 20 goals in the league this campaign.
