The 23-year-old started the match against Rapide Oued Zem on Sunday but lasted just 11 minutes after going down injured before he was replaced by compatriot Babatunde Michael as the hosts kept cool to win the match 3-0.
Scans after the match, however, revealed that the player had suffered a dislocated shoulder and would be out for between Two to three weeks.
The injury will come as a blow to both the player and club as Okechukwu has impressed greatly for the league leaders in their last four games after finally breaking into the starting XI.
