Former Akwa United skipper, Emmanuel Ariwachukwu has hailed his side’s big win on matchday six of the Confederations Cup after they trashed visiting Nkana FC to finish top of Group C, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 26-year-old was very instrumental in the win as he delivered a near-perfect performance in defence to help the Sudanese champions record a very convincing win.
The Nigerian posted afterward to express his satisfaction in the match whilst also praising the Hilal fans for their all-round amazing display.
“Great fight. Amazing squad Amazing family…Big congrats to the entire Al-Hilal family, fans and everyone who prays and support us. We can’t come this far without your support, God bless u all, we won’t stop till we lift the trophy. Yes, we can,” Ariwachukwu said.
The former NPFL hot shot featured in all six of the club’s group stage games as they won three, drew two and lost just once to finish top of the group with 11 points.
