Super Eagles Head Coach Gernot Rohr was given the honour to share his experience with 23 other national team managers at a one-day AFCON coaches’ workshop in Cairo, AOIFootball.com reports.
After leading Nigeria to a near perfect preparation to the 2018 spectacle in Russia, the Franco-German was happy to offer other coaches insights on how to have a successful preparation ahead of June’s AFCON.
During the workshop, the coaches were given lectures on the latest refereeing guidelines on the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) which would be used during the competition.
On the technological side, the Confederation of African Football also explained the upcoming use of GPS trackers on players involved in the tournament to measure their performances and other indicators.
The draws for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations will take place at the foot of the Pyramids and the Sphinx in Giza on Friday.
