Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen scored his first goal of the playoff season and his 13th overall to help Sporting Charleroi to a 2-0 win over KVC Westerlo at home, reports.
Having missed his side’s first two games of the playoff round, the Nigerian started his second consecutive game as both teams went into the break level but the visitors were reduced to 10 men following two yellow cards to striker Stephen Buyl.
With the numerical advantage on their side, Sporting Charleroi opened scoring seven minutes after the hour mark when Adama Niane before Osimhen wrapped up the victory with a ferocious strike from 30 yards which took a huge deflection on its way in to give his side all three points.
The win moves Charleroi to third on the Playoffs 2A table with six points from a possible 12 after 4 round of matches.
