Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru was missing in action for champions Galatasaray as they closed the gap on leaders Istanbul Basaksehir to two points following their 3-1 win over Kayserispor, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Nigerian was the match hero last weekend as he netted the only goal in their 1-1 derby draw over Galatasaray but missed the matchday 29 clash after accumulating five yellow cards.
However, a brace from league top scorer Mbaye Diagne and another from Yuto Nagatomo cancelled out Artem Kravets’ early strike as Galatasaray recorded their 17 league win of the campaign.
The 21-year-old would, however, return for Galatasaray’s crunch semifinal second leg cup tie away to Yeni Melatyaspor as they maintain their pursuit for a league and cup double.
