Super Eagles forward, Simy Nwankwo has expressed his delight after signing a new improved 3-year contract at Italian side Crotone, AOIFootball.com reports.
Speaking exclusively to AOIFootball.com from his base in Italy, Simy, who is now on holidays with his family, stated that the new Crotone project was a perfect growth for him and wants to recreate his own history with the modest Italian side.
“I’m excited about the new challenge and project going forward; it’s a perfect project that challenges my growth so I’m happy to be here for another three years with the club,” Simy enthused.
The 27-year-old however kept mute on speculations about a possible loan switch ahead of the new season stating that for now he just wants to enjoy his holidays and will return to the club for preseason as they hope to secure a return to the Serie A.
Simy scored 14 goals in 22 league starts to help Crotone to an 11th place finish with 43 points from 36 games.
