Despite not too impressive performance at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr has tasked the Flying Eagles to go all out and do the country proud when they take on Senegal for a place in the quarterfinals, AOIFootball.com reports.
Sanusi, who praised the boys for qualifying to the next round of the competition despite finishing third in their group, told AOIFootball.com that the team must go all out to secure victory against their African brothers.
“I must say the Federation is happy that the team have qualified to the next round. Their first match at the competition was a good one, the second was not too impressive but they gave a good fight against Ukraine in their third match to earn a point enough to help them qualify.
“I am happy that you know that we have given them quality preparations. Sometimes you plan well and your opponent does better but there is room for improvement and we are likely to see a better Flying Eagles in the next match against Senegal.
“I believe the coaches are watching, especially in the midfield and would know what to do before the next game,” Sanusi concluded.
The Flying Eagles will engage the Young Lions of Senegal at the Lodz Stadium on Monday night with the winner progressing to the quarterfinals of the competition.
