Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu has hailed Villarreal winger and national teammate Samuel Chukwueze, describing him as a “wizard” following his mesmerizing form in the team’s training sessions in Asaba, AOIFootball.com reports.

The Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel midfielder has had to contend with the fleet-footed winger in training, hailing the player for his wonderful abilities whilst also stressing that the country was lucky to have him heading into the AFCON.

“This boy Chukwueze is a wizard. Thank God he belongs to our country. We have a star,” Ogu posited.

Ogu’s praise comes as no surprise to many who have followed the progress of the winger, with Eagles captain Mikel Obi also giving him a pat on the back to show his appreciation of the player’s mesmerizing form with Villarreal this season.

With just one full senior cap to his name, the former U-17 world cup winner is almost certainly guaranteed a spot in the final 23-man squad and could be the joker for Nigeria going into the Nations Cup.
