Kano Pillars FC striker, Nyima Nwagwa has called on both his teammates and fans to rally round the team as they bid to win this year’s Aiteo Cup, AOIFootball.com reports.

The physically built attacker who spoke exclusively to AOIFootball.com shortly before the team departed Kano for Kaduna for the Aiteo Cup final, stated that Niger Tornadoes are no underdogs, and as such, they won’t be underrated by Kano Pillars FC, maintaining that the Federation Cup is full of unexpected outcomes.

“We will face the game with full concentration and commitment because our opponents are not a weak side by any standard.

“The Federation Cup comes with a lot of surprises and we will not take chances in the final,” he said.

The former Shooting Stars and Go-Round FC Striker also submitted that having qualified already to represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup, anyone who underrates them does that at their own peril.

“Niger Tornadoes will be playing in the CAF Confederations Cup, and any attempt at underrating them may prove quite unhealthy, hence, we must be at our best.

“They have also qualified to the final from a pool of over 70 teams, knocking out some notable teams. So we shall not underrate them in anyway,” Nwagwa concluded.
