Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins is confident his side have taken the positives from their opening Bundesliga loss away at Bayern Leverkusen despite being very close to snatching a point, AOIFootball.com reports.

The 25-year-old, who was on from start to finish, was happy with his performance despite not being the minor setback.

“It was not the start we wanted but I believe there were a lot of positives for everyone. Personally, it was a nice outing for me and I hope we get better as other matches approach,” Collins said.

Despite playing in the Bundesliga for the first time since being relegated in the 2014/2015 season, newly promoted SC Paderborn showed no signs of inexperience as they drew level on two occasions against Bayern Leverkusen before a 69th minute goal by Kelvin Volland condemned them to a 3-2 loss.

Collins, however gave a good account of himself, finishing with an impressive game rating if 6.9, making 2 clearances, 7 interceptions, winning 3 aerial duels and also won all 100% of his tackles.
