Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has been rewarded for his fine display for Stoke City at the weekend after he was named in the Team of the Week for Match Day 9, reports.

The Nigerian has been one of the shining lights in the Potters’ team this campaign and he showed plenty of determination despite their 2-3 loss at home to high flyers Nottingham Forest.

Etebo, however, leads the midfield quartet of Sheffield Wednesday’s Adam Reach, Fulham’s Tom Cairney, and Brentford Said Benrahma.

There was also a place in the Championship XI for Nigerian hopeful Dominic Iorfa who scored his first goal of the season for Sheffield Wednesday as they thrashed Middlesbrough 4-1 away from home.

Etebo, who featured for the entire match duration, had a game rating of 8.5, completed a season record of 98% passes, made two key passes and also completed 6 of his 7 dribbles.

He also won a game-high 14 duels, made 2 clearances, 4 interceptions and 6 tackles.
