Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has once again demonstrated his near perfectness in the middle of the park following his superlative performance in Leicester City’s 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle United in Sunday, AOIFootball.com reports.

According to Squawka, the Nigerian, who is regarded as the best holding midfielder in the Premier League, produced a sumptuous performance on Sunday to floor Brazilian Fabinho who also showed class in Liverpool’s 1-0 win at Sheffield United.

Ndidi, who scored his side’s fifth goal, went home with the man of the match award but it was his overall display that earned him praises across the globe.

The Nigerian made 12 recoveries which was the most by any defensive midfielder in the league last weekend, with his 9 tackles and 5 interceptions also the most in the league as he floored Fabinho who made 9 recoveries, 4 tackles and 3 interceptions.

The 22-year-old finished with a game rating of 9.3, making him a strong candidate for the Premier League Player of the Week as he also completed 92% of his passes and was only dribbled once.
