Super Eagles forward, Henry Onyekuru is just days away from returning to the Turkish Super Liga after champions Galatasaray made full advancements to French side Monaco for the player, AOIFootball.com reports.

The 22-year-old joined the principality club at the start of the season from Everton after impressing on loan at Galatasaray but struggled to nail down a first-team shirt, a situation which has seen him start just two of Monaco’s opening 14 league fixtures.

The Nigerian will, however, make the move in the winter after both clubs reached an agreement on a loan offer till the end of the season.

AOIFootball.com however gathered exclusively that Onyekuru will be welcomed back to Turkey with open arms as the Galatasaray fans are already looking forward to his arrival next month.

The former KAS Eupen pacey winger is expected to earn around €2 million when he completes the loan move, with both clubs also working on a permanent transfer fee of around €30 million which will see Onyekuru remain beyond the remainder of the 2019/2020 season.

Onyekuru scored 16 goals last term for Galatasaray as they went on to complete a historic domestic double and will no doubt become the fans’ favourite once again, especially with the love he receives from head coach Fatih Terim who continues to speak highly of the Nigerian.
