Nigeria’s Eberechi Eze was the hero for Queens Park Rangers as he scored for the second straight game to lift them to a 2-0 win over Preston North End, AOIFootball.com reports.
Without a win in seven league games, the hosts went into the clash seeking their first win since October with pressure already mounting on head coach Mark Warburton who was desperate to see his lads turn on a good result in front of the Loftus Road fans.

The 21-year-old needed just 17 minutes to register his 8th league goal of the campaign, a lead they held going into the half time break.

Eze then doubled his side’s lead 7 minutes after the hour mark from 12 yards to hand the hosts their first win in 8 games and move them up to 14th on the log standings.

The one time Super Eagles trainee deservedly picked up the man of the match and a potential place in the team of the week with a game rating of 8.6, completing 78% of his passes and also winning 7 of his duels.
