Chisom Egbuchulam has become the latest Nigerian to make a move in the winter transfer window after completing a move to Chinese second division side Meizhou Hakka, AOIFootball.com reports.

The former Enugu Rangers forward opted on renewing his contract at South Korean club Suwon FC beyond last season and has now decided to join the likes of Odion Ighalo and John Owoeri who also play their football in the Asian country.

Egbuchulam scored 18 goals for Suwon FC last season and was named as the club’s best player of the season but despite being offered a chance to stay beyond the 2018/2019 season, the forward favoured a new adventure elsewhere.

With back to back highest goals scorer achievement at both Swedish club Falkenbergs in 2018 and Suwon FC in 2019, Meizhou Hakka will be hoping the player’s wealth of experience in both Europe and Asia will help them achieve their aim next season as they aim for promotion to the elite league in China.

Hakka finished in a disappointing 10th position last term with 39 points from 30 games and will now hope his acquisition will help them better their previous season mark when the league begins in March.
