Heartland FC of Owerri defensive midfielder, Ayooluwa Adetola, has on behalf of his teammates apologized to their fans over the team’s inability to record a win in Sunday’s home game in Okigwe, against Katsina United in the Nigeria Professional Football League Match Day 16 clash, AOIFootball.com reports.
Speaking exclusively to AOIFootball.com at the team’s camp on Tuesday in Naze, Imo State, the former Niger Tornadoes and Delta Force FC strong man appealed to the fans to be more patient, adding that the draw was not what the tram actually prepared for.
“I’m appealing to all our fans to be a little more patient with us over last Sunday’s result, said Adetola.
“The draw we got was not the result we had prepared for, but some days are like that.
“In football, some days are quite good, while some other days, the story may not be that sweet, but we will surely get positive results from our subsequent games, as we’re just almost halfway into the season,” he concluded.
