While Sunshine Stars FC are currently on a four-match unbeaten run, their opponents in Match Day 17 duel of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Kano Pillars have also not tasted defeat in the last 10 matches, and the gaffer of the groundnut pyramid City side, Ibrahim Musa has assured fans of the club that their darling team will not leave Akure empty handed.
In an exclusive chat with AOIFootball.com shortly after his team had a light training session at the Akure Township Stadium, the 2019 Aiteo Cup winning coach revealed that they don’t have plans to relinquish their unbeaten run in the ongoing campaign, adding that his side’s target is to play continental football next season.
“We’re not ready to let go of our unbeaten run; we shall do the best we can to leave here at least, with a point, he said.
“Our target is to remain consistent with our current form; that is the only way we can make it to the top.
“We’re doing the very best within our power to ensure we pick one of the slots to play in the CAF inter club competitions next season,” Coach Musa concluded.
