It was yet another sweet night for Nigerian duo of Samuel Chukwueze and Ramon Azeez as they impressed for Villarreal and Granada to help them reach the quarterfinals of the Spanish Kings Cup, AOIFootball.con reports.
At the Estadio de Vallecas in Madrid, winger Chukwueze was named on the bench for the Yellow Submarines as they sought to extend their winning run to three games following a recent good run.
The Eagle was however called to action on 74 minutes replacing Javier Ontiveros with Villarreal taking the lead ten minutes afterward when Fernando Nino put them 1-0 up.
Chukwueze then set up Santi Carzola five minutes from time as the visitors claimed an impressive victory on the road to reach the last eight.
Similarly, at the Estadio Nuevo Vivero in Badajoz, midfielder Ramon Azeez was on from start for visitors Granda as they took on Segunda B side CD Badajoz for a place in the last 8.
Ramon was however replaced in the 83rd minute with Granda level at 1–1 as they needed the extra time seal a 3-2 win and progress to the 5th Round.
