Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon ended an eventful month in style for French side Nantes as he scored what almost proved to be the winner in their 3-2 loss away to Stade Rennais on Friday night, AOIFootball.com reports.
With one goal and three assists in his last three outings, the on-loan Levante of Spain forward lined up for the 19th time this season with the visitors hoping to pick a shock win and move back into the top four.
After a goalless first half, the visitors took a surprise lead at the Roazhon Park three minutes after the interval when defender Demain Da Silva put through his own goal to give Nantes a 1-0 lead with the host striking back on 77 minutes via the boots of Raphinha.
Moses then thought he had scored the winner when he converted from close range 10 minutes from time but the hosts stunned the entire ground when they scored twice in added time to seal a 3-2 comeback win and condemn Nantes to their 10th defeat of the campaign.
The strike now takes Simon’s tally in the league to three goals with a further five assists in Ligue 1 this term.
