Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi made a wonderful return to action for Premier League chasers West Bromwich Albion when he scored his 5th goal of the season to help them return to winning ways at the Hawthorns, AOIFootball.com reports.

Having missed their midweek loss to Cardiff due to suspension, the 26-year-old returned to the starting XI for the 28th time in the league with the host hoping to reclaim top spot following Leeds United 1-0 loss at home to Wigan.

The however needed just 14 minutes to go in front when defender Donervorn Daniels put through his own goal to give the host a 1-0 lead as they held the lead going into the break.

Ajayi then doubled their lead 20 minutes from time when he headed home powerfully from a Matt Phillips corner to seal a 2-0 win and their 15th win of the campaign.

The impressive Ajayi finished the match with a rating of 7.7, winning 100% of his duels, making 2 clearances, completing 75% of his passes and also making 1 interception.
