Former Netherland youth international, Kingsley Ehizibue opened his season’s account with FC Köln in style on Sunday afternoon when he scored a mesmerizing solo goal to help his side to a 4-0 win over Freiburg, AOIFootball.com reports.
Born to Nigerian parents, the 24-year-old right-back started his 17th Bundesliga game for the hosts as they seek to move clear of the relegation zone with a win.
They, however, had to wait till the half-hour mark to get the breakthrough when Sebastian Bornauw put them ahead in the 29th minute before Jhon Cordoba doubled their lead 10 minutes after the interval.
Ehizibue then made it 3-0 on the dot of 90 minutes after wriggling his way past his markers to score before Ismail Jakobs added flavour to the victory when he scored the 4th 60 seconds later.
Ehizibue was rightfully adjudged the man of the match as he finished the game with a rating 8.0, making 3 clearances, 1 interception, winning 10 duels and also completing 81% of his passes.
