It was a relatively good outing for Nigerian players in the English Championship as fast-rising stars Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel helped QPR to a turnaround win at home to Stoke City whilst Manchester City youngster, Tosin Adarabiyo also found the back of the net, AOIFootball.com reports.

 

Semi Ajayi: The Eagles defender was on from start to finish for league leaders West Bromwich Albion as they stretch their unbeaten run to four games following their entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Nottingham Forest which also had Sammy Ameobi on the pitch.

 

The former Rotherham United defender finished the game with a rating of 6.9, winning 4 duels, making 2 clearances, 1 blocked shot and interception and also completed 83% of his passes with his side edging closer to a Premier League return after two seasons in the championship.

 

Leon Balogun: The former Mainz 05 defender started his first league game for new club Wigan Athletic as they twice threw away their lead in their 2-2 draw away at Cardiff City to pick a valuable point in their quest to survive relegation.

 

Balogun featured for the entire match duration in what was his second appearance since joining on loan, finishing the game with a rating of 6.4 as he made 4 key clearances, winning 7 duels and also completed 74% of his passes.

 

Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel: The Eagles hopefuls were both on target for Queens Park Rangers as they came back from two goals down to claim a hard-fought 4-2 win at home to Stoke City.

 

With QPR already 2-1 down after 34 minute, Eberechi Eze made it 2-2 on 38 minute to score his 11th league goal of the campaign before Osayi-Samuel completed the turnaround on 71 minute with a wonderful finish with Ilias Chair completing the win deep into additional time.

 

The duo who remain in the watch list of Nigeria have now been directly involved in 26 league goals this season that’s more than 50% of the club league goals in the league this term.

 

Tosin Adarabiyo: The Manchester City youngster scored his second league goal of the campaign for loan club Blackburn Rovers as they claimed a 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic to keep their hopes of a Championship playoffs alive.

 

Tosin was on from start to finish and earned a rating of 7.8, making 4 clearances and also completed 78% of his passes.
