Former Super Eagles striker, Odion Jude Ighalo once again was the toast of football fans across the globe on Thursday night as he scored twice for Manchester United in their 3-0 win away at Derby County in the 5th Round of the FA Cup, AOIFootball.com reports.

Having scored on his first start last Thursday at home to Club Brugge in the Europa League, the Nigerian was one of six changes made by United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær as they eyed a quarterfinal berth of the competition.

After a cozy opening half-hour, the visitors took the lead against the run of play when left-back Luke Shaw made space for himself just on the edge of the Derby box before volleying home to give his side the lead on the 33rd minute.

The defender was again involved four minutes to half time when his surging run into the box somehow found Ighalo in the box and the Nigerian showed composure and strength to tuck home for 2-0 and register his second goal for the club.

The 2019 AFCON top goalscorer then scored his second of the game and his first brace in English football since 2015 when he fired home a powerful shot just inside the box for 3-0 to seal progression for the Red Devils who next face Norwich in the next round.

The on-loan Shanghai Shenhua striker deservedly went home with the man of the match award, earning a rating of 9.0, completing 77% of his passes, winning 4 of his 5 duels and also added to the United defence by making 3 key clearances.
