Super Eagles pacy winger, Moses Simon has been rewarded for his fantastic debut season with French side FC Nantes as he was named the club’s player of the season, AOIFootball.com reports.
The 24-year-old joined the team on a season-long loan from Spanish side Levante and instantly became a hit at the Stade de la Beaujoire as he received 40 percent of the total polls by the fans to win the prestigious award.
“With nine goals and eight assists in 30 games played, all competitions combined, Moses Simon left a lasting impression. He is voted “Canary of the 2019-2020 season by Iliane” by you, supporters of the Yellow and Green,” the club announced.
The former AS Trencin winger was a big hit for Christian Gourcuff’s team as he ranked highest for goals and assists in the league (10), four more than his closest challenger Ludovic Blas who had a combined total of 6.
He also created more scoring chances (8) in the league than any of his teammates and was also a joy on the flanks as he completed 44% of his dribbles in the league one, whilst also finishing joint top of the scorers chart in the League cup with 3 goals level with the duo of Mario Icardi and Loic Remy.
It however remains to be seen if the pacy winger will stay with Nantes next season as the club is still yet to take up the option to sign the player on a permanent basis.
