Nigerian winger, Chidera Ejuke is set to join Russian giants CSKA Moscow from Dutch side Heerenveen after both parties agreed to a fee of around 12 million Euros, AOIFootball.com reports.

According to reports in the Dutch press, Heerenveen had earlier snub offers from China, France, and Italy but the CSKA offer was too good to reject with the club in desperate need to strengthen their squad with the fee.

The 22-year-old joined the club from Valerenga in the summer of 2019 for a fee of around 2 million Euros and instantly became a hit as he impressed in his first season at the Abe Lenstra Stadium.

The former Gombe United winger scored 10 goals in all competitions in his debut season, contributing 5 assists in the process before the league was called off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

If completed, the winger tagged ‘the Nigerian Ronaldo’, will become the third Eagle to move to the VEB Arena after the likes of Ahmed Musa and Chidi Ordia who had previously worn the Blue and Red jersey of the club.
