Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun put aside a disappointing international break to start and shine for Glasgow Rangers in their 4-0 win over Aberdeen, AOIFootball.com reports.
The former Wigan defender started his 6th league game of the campaign whilst compatriot Joe Aribo was also named in the starting XI by head coach Steven Gerrard.
Ryan Kent made amends for his earlier miss when he put Rangers ahead on the 15th minute before Kemar Roofe ensured they went into the break with a comfortable lead when he made it 2-0 in the half-hour mark.
Scott Arfield then made it 3-0 just after the restart before Balogun was brought down in the box on the 53rd minute with James Tavenier stepping up to convert the resulting kick and earn Rangers their 13th league win of the campaign.
Balogun, who took his clean sheet record to 5 in the league, had a rating of 7.4 whilst Aribo ended with a rating of 6.7.
