Mrs. Justina Omeruo, mother of Super Eagles’ defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has revealed the secret formula to the outstanding success of her son.

Justina Omeruo, a mother of four boys, narrated the challenges she faced when nurturing Omeruo, who is on loan to Alanyaspor from Chelsea.

Narrating her story, Kenneth’s mum said she toiled in the rain, was scorched by the sun, just to feed her children.

She said: “I suffered a lot because of these children. I was beaten by rain and worked tirelessly in the scorching sun in my effort to train them.”

She further narrated how she went to watch them play, with the hope that they would one day play for Nigeria.

“I used to watch them play; and I always told them they would one day play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. I never knew God was listening to me and today, all my prayers have been answered.”

Kenneth Omeruo has a brother, Lucky Omeruo who is also a footballer, and he plays for Enugu Rangers.

Kenneth is in Abuja for holidays, and is involved in charity, taking food and other items to orphanages in Abuja, as well as organising a football tournament for youths which took place in his neighborhood Karmo, Abuja.

The Super Eagles defender also promised to keep giving back to the society that helped him develop, while still pledging his loyalty to both club and country.
